Stories of a Lifetime (S.O.A.L)
.
I believe that everyone's story matters and everyone's story is unique. "Stories of a lifetime" is my tagline for a reason. A lifetime worth of memories, experiences, victories, lessons, heartbreaks, etc. We all contributed to the past, the present, and future of this world just by existing. I think there's value in documenting that, whether we publish it for the world to see or not.

Documentation
.
My parents have always been about documentation. It has to do with the fact that when they first arrived here in the U.S, phones and social media were not a thing. They would take pictures with a camera, print them out, and send them to Mexico so my family over there could see what my parents were up to over here. They also invested in a VHS camera, record special moments, make a copy of the VHS tape, and send those over to Mexico as well. As a kid, I was always fascinated with my roots and the past. My curiosity would lead me to the family photo albums or to watch VHS tapes to see how life was like before I was born. Sometimes, my family from Mexico would send us pictures and VHS tapes. I got to see what they were up to over there. I feel like it's because of this documentation that I feel connected with my roots even if I'm not present there.
.
Things happen the way they're suppose to happen but sometimes I wish I could go back and tell my High School self to start taking pictures and recording videos everyday. I would have captured my development as an artist, my time in college, and everything else up until I actually started thinking about documentation in late 2019. A vlogging series during my time in Ohio or when Soulreal and I were working on O.S.O.S Vol. 1 would have been special.
I also think that documentation is important because our trials and tribulations can help others. I worked as a Youth Specialist for 7 years and my biggest resource was my lived experience. I thrived when I had the opportunity to talk to the youth about my life because when I was in their shoes, I learned a lot by listening to my mentors talk about theirs. I connected with the youth through stories and passing wisdom but they would always ask if I had any "proof" of it. When I produce content now, I keep the youth in mind. I ask myself the question, "What can a youngster learn from this?"

Wellness & Health
A major theme in my life that I had to change my perspective on is health. As I'm getting older, I have to start new healthy habits and quit damaging ones. I'm on a path to feel better in mind, body, and soul. The majority of my topics in my music revolve around health because of this.
I don't smoke as much as I used to. I don't have the urge to spark up a blunt or continuously buy disposable vapes. The last time I drank alcohol was 11/03/2023 and I no longer have this need to drink. I practice intermittent fasting and meal prep 5 days a week. I work out 6 days a week which includes cardio and weightlifting. I'm focusing a lot of energy on my physical body because I have put it through years of abuse. Substances, unhealthy food, and lack of exercise takes it's toll. I have struggled with my weight my whole life which led me to start developing multiple issues in my late 20s.
.
When it comes to the soul, I have to continue on this path of music and content creation. It's what makes me happy and fulfilled. This is my mission on Earth. At times I have strayed away from my path to try new things but all roads lead to music and content creation. Wealth in the soul is important to me because I find it more valuable than money.
.
I also have to keep my mind sharp. I have struggled with OCD, anxiety, depression, and other issues. I have developed habits like mediation, journaling, and reading as ways to help me stay grounded and not overthink so much. I'm always in my head so I have to constantly battle to get out of it. This is one of the reasons why I deleted my social media accounts and have minimum distractions on my phone.

One technique I use to track my wellness is using the "8 Dimensions of Wellness"
