The Gift
In 2017, before I left Ohio, my little brother from the fraternity, Grande, gave me "The Chronic" by Dr. Dre in vinyl. It was a gift from his Mom as a "Thank you" for always looking out for Grande. The homie is from Hawthorne and Raza so it was mandatory I look out for him while we were both students at Ohio Wesleyan University. That was my 1st vinyl and it was the catalyst.

Collecting
Some time later, I invested in a record player once I started getting some extra money in my pockets. I kept seeing the vinyl collecting dust so it motivated me to invest in one. it was cheap but it worked. I got it off of Amazon. Once I got the record player, that is when I decided to start buying more. I'm not always looking to buy one, I follow the mood of the day. Some of these were Christmas gifts. Most of them I bought at Amoeba Music in Hollywood. It's not just Hip-Hop either that I plan on collecting. I enjoy other genres of music as well.
